Our Wapiti Elk hunts are designed to be seamless and fully inclusive, typically added on to your primary Red Stag or Tahr hunt. Your package includes your elk trophy, professional PH guiding, hunting license, field trophy preparation, trophy photography, airport transfers, chef-prepared meals, and use of firearms and ammunition if needed.

If you wish to stay closer to the elk block, we offer basic on-site accommodation at no additional cost upon request, making it even easier to maximise your time in the field.

5-7 Day Hunts

The best time to hunt Elk in New Zealand is during their roar in March and April, when mature bulls become highly vocal, competitive, and far more visible. This creates ideal conditions for both rifle and bowhunters to pursue these incredible animals up close.

New Zealand elk herds produce a mix of impressive typical bulls with classic symmetrical antlers, as well as striking non-typical animals with unique character and massive antler growth - giving you the chance to take home a truly memorable trophy.

Additional Game

Looking to make the most of your New Zealand hunting adventure? Consider adding additional game species to your trip for an even more rewarding experience. From late May onward, Tahr is an excellent add-on, available through our expedition-style hunts with helicopter access and multi-day alpine camping.
