The 2019 trip went for 15 days and we hunted across both the North and the South island. From a mix of native forest filled with bird songs and roars from the Stags and croaking Fallow Bucks through to the snow capped mountains of the south island with glacial streams feeding the river systems in the valley. The veteran ended up taking home a beautiful Red stag and a Fallow buck with the desire to return to try for a Tahr.
