Red Stag Hunts
We spent the last 6 years guiding out of the beautiful Hawkes bay region before relocating to the south island. We have a huge passion and love for hunting Red Stags. The hunt options we off for Stags has brought a lot of happiness to our clients hunting with us, after they see the quality of game on this estate and the picturesque landscape.
Located in the beautiful South Island just north of Queenstown we have a fantastic Red Stag hunting estate, with accommodation on the property. This estate is a high fence estate, which has some amazing country to hunt in. From New Zealand native bush, to tussock valleys and river flats in-between. During the Red Stag Roar (rut) the estate is full of excitement this occurs usually mid March and runs through to the end of April but the official duration of the Roar varies year to year.
You will experience some amazing country from rolling hills, mountains, riverbeds and some challenging true New Zealand native bush. The native bush provides great cover when bow hunting.
Some of the hunting options we have on this estate block are:

The management Red Stag hunts are only held from June-August. The management stags are usually a Stag that is missing a Brow, Bey or Trez tine. These hunts are usually held over 2-4 days.

Our trophy Red Stag hunts are held from Mid January through to August each year. We have Stags ranging in size up to 450SCI+. We highly recommend booking for 4 or more days.
Free Range Red Stag and Fallow Buck hunting
On this same hunting estate outside of the estate block we can also offer true free range hunting for Red deer and Fallow bucks that Roam the surrounds of the property. The best time to hunt them is during the rut or roar.
